Cultural Development

Rameshwar Cultural Sabah utilizes the power of culture to tap into the heart of the community to help build a healthy and thriving community. We embrace the ethic that participation of oneself in the cultural life of their community is essential. This ethic informs how we work at all times. We work in many different ways to effect positive cultural development. We believe Art is a central form of cultural expression, as it can be a force to draw attention to issues, bring people together, and help build physical and human communities. We offer programs such as language classes, youth groups, senior programs, musics classes and others that are designed with cultural development as the main objective.

Just as important as our programs are to cultural development, we believe practicing community cultural development also requires taking away obstacles to human expression. We provide a safe place for individuals to tell their stories, to form connections with members, to celebrate their successes, and to showcase their talents as well as learn valuable skills.
